Strictly Come Dancing’s Ellie Leach showcases ‘worst’ injury before live show

Ellie Leech suffers injury during training for Strictly

Strictly Come Dancing’s Ellie Leach has shown off her horrendous blisters after training for this weekend’s live show.

Speaking to BBC host Janette Manrara on It Takes Two, viewers learnt Ellie and Vito Coppola will be dancing a Viennese Waltz to a song from the Disney film Encanto.

However, it seems as though their rehearsing has taken a toll on the 22-year-old’s feet as the host was quick to mention Ellie’s blistered toes.

Referring to the popular movie they’re dancing from, Janette said: “Can we talk about the B word?

“And no we don’t talk about Bruno, no, no, no. We are talking about blisters.”

The host gave a warning to viewers watching at home who may be eating as she told them to look away.

Showing a video of the former Coronation Street star’s foot, people were able to see the blisters that were forming on her toes.

Janette yelled: “Look at this?! Look at your poor feet. How are you coping?”

As the video played the crew from behind the cameras could be heard making noises mimicking pain looking at how bad her feet were.

Ellie confessed: “That one’s the worst. That is the worst one!”

Despite the gruesome injury, Ellie revealed her partner is proud of the blisters that she’s acquired from training.

She added: “I’ve been putting plasters on for three weeks and then the past two days I’ve not put plasters on. I’m growing.”

Janette let out a sarcastic gasp and told the actress she was brave before stating she was one of them (a dancer) officially.

Giving fans a hint at what they can expect to see on Saturday night, Vito revealed there will be “magic” on the dancefloor.

Currently, Ellie and Vito are high up on the leaderboard with a score of 31, putting them in third place behind Amanda Abbington and Layton Williams.

Will the pair be able to impress the four judges for another week with their Viennese Waltz?

Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday on BBC One from 6.20pm.
