Three ITV Emmerdale theories: icon killed off and pregnancy rocks the village | The Sun

CALEB Milligan is an expert in the art of landing in deep trouble and, this week, it could even get him killed.

Elsewhere, speculation about one Emmerdale lady being pregnant continues to arise. Here's what could be coming to our screens.

1. Death fears for former villain

Caleb Milligan (played by Will Ash) has made many enemies throughout the eponymous ITV village.

Through it all, he has benefitted from his half-sister Chas Dingle's (Lucy Pargeter) support.

But how will she react to his new business, particularly as Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) could be in danger because of it?

This week, Chas is curious and soon surprised to learn Caleb is the owner of the driving firm giving Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) new business.

Meanwhile, Corey’s incredulous Nate has taken his position of manager and is demanding the illegal jobs come to a stop.

Later on, Cain extends an olive branch to a resistant Nate – how will the hunk react?

This remains to be seen but at the same moment, Chas feels guilty knowing the truth about Nate’s job.

The latter is alarmed the following day when Caleb tells him Chas knows about the driving firm.

Things spiral out of control for both Nate and Caleb next week.

Nate finds his old pal Corey shifting illegal guns and decides to take action although he's forced to hide the guns in a panic when Tracy appears.

Caleb’s angry when Nate reveals about the dodgy dealings and upon hearing that guns have been hidden, he rushes to retrieve them only to realise they've gone missing.

Nate is at a loss how to explain this to Corey, ignores his messages and dashes out when Tracy clocks on his mood.

Corey’s less than happy when he hears the guns have gone missing, leaving the group anxious.

Caleb sets up the meeting with Harry and an apprehensive Nate fills Tracy in on everything.

She’s fuming and wants him not to meet Harry alone, suggesting he take Cain with him.

Whilst over at the Car office, Caleb does his best to remain unfazed as he meets with an intimidating Harry.

Caleb insists on putting a stop to any illegal business but when Harry’s heavies start to get physical he knows he’s in trouble.

The repenting villain already escaped death earlier this year after he was pushed off a ravine by his own son Nicky (Lewis Cope).

However, many fans on social media aren't convinced he will be as lucky with Harry as the criminal is clearly more ruthless than anybody Caleb has encountered in the village – even his brother Cain.

Could Caleb have played with fire too much?

Will he be killed off to send a message?

2. Big return from the dead

But Caleb isn't the only villager in danger as Nate is also involved with Harry and Corey.

To top it all off, Nate has a young daughter, Frankie, and his wife Tracy (Amy Walsh) to protect.

As regular viewers of the Yorkshire-based program will know, Nate embarked on his risky business venture to make ends meet as both he and his wife were considerably cash-strapped.

But what if they received some unexpected help?

Former Frank Clayton star Michael Praed got the rumour mill going after a recent interview with What's on TV Magazine – could his character, much like Kim Tate or EastEnders' Cindy Beale before him, be brought back from the dead?

Frank met a tragic fate when he became stuck in a fire accidentally caused by Kerry and Amy Wyatt.

Yet Michael put out the feelers for another resurrection storyline, suggesting that Tracy may have helped Frank fake his own death as part of an insurance scam.

"It wouldn’t be a huge leap to have scheming Frank fake his own death", Michael said.

"He could’ve cooked up a fantastic scam with his daughter Tracy to claim millions in life insurance. That could happen."

In doing so, Frank could be the one to get his daughter and son-in-law out of a difficult financial situation.

Could soap bosses make it happen?

3. Surprise pregnancy

Meanwhile, Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) comes back to the Dales… with a potential vengeance.

The young mother was devastated when Nicky Milligan confessed to her that he was not only gay but he was also hoping to use her to help his father get to the Tate family fortune.

Nicky has since moved on with Suni Sharma (Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana) but Gabby has found it hard to forgive and forget.

Gabby more or less spiralled out of control as a result and even attempted to kiss her pal Dawn's husband Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle).

Embarrassed and overwhelmed, Gabby packed her things and left the eponymous village for Portugal with her son Thomas in tow.

But after weeks away, it's time for her to return to Emmerdale.

Coming up, Gabby is back from her holiday and she and Billy agree to keep their indiscretion a secret – but is it a good idea?

Later, when Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) complains about the lack of a new chef at the Hide, Suni jumps at the chance.

Victoria’s impressed and offers him the job but Gabby’s peeved to hear the news and vents to Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant).

Suni starts work, causing Gabby to react badly but how will he respond to her hostility?

While this remains to be seen, many viewers of the long-running soap have been speculating for several weeks that Gabby could be pregnant with Nicky's child.

To top it off, she could even be completely unaware about her pregnancy, much like young Amelia Spencer last year.

Could this be contributing to her hostility towards Nicky?

Could she become pregnant in weeks to come as her and Billy get close, despite their decision to keep things under wraps?
