A KILLER dubbed the "Clifton rapist" who spent 51 years behind bars has been locked up again after attacking a woman while on licence.
Ronald Evans was first jailed 1964 for the sexually-motivated murder of 21-year-old shop worker Kathleen Heathcote.
The predator was released in 1975 after just 11 years and went on to carry out a string of chilling sex attacks on lone women in Bristol.
Operating at night, Evans became known as the Clifton rapist when he was jailed again after he was caught by a police honeytrap.
The 82-year-old spent a further 39 years in prison after further offences came to light thanks to advances in scientific tests.
But in 2018, he was released on licence by the Parole Board and went on to attack a vulnerable woman he met while living in London.

He was hauled back to jail last August – meaning he is now one of Britain's longest-serving prisoners after clocking 51 years behind bars.
Evans has now been sentenced to four years in prison after he was found guilty of sexual assault.
Judge Vanessa Francis said: "The sheer length of time you remained in custody speaks volumes as to the Parole Board's view of the risk you posed.
"It is apparent from your actions towards (the victim) that time has done nothing to change the fact you are a sexual predator.

"You sought out a new victim that was vulnerable who you knew you could manipulate."
The Old Bailey heard Evans hid behind his age to present himself as a "harmless pensioner" to the victim.
In reality, he was "still very much a deviant sexual predator waiting for his next opportunity", the court was told.
Evans had met the domestic abuse victim while volunteering at a local community centre and pretended he wanted to be friends.
In July 2022, he lured her to his home and bragged about receiving emails from nude women who claimed they wanted to have sex with him.
He then groped the woman and told her "this kind of talk will get me in trouble" when she called to confront him the next day.
The victim later only found out about Evans previous offences when she saw a documentary on the rapist.
Prosecutor Lauren Sales said that as a result of the sexual assault, she had stopped visiting the community centre and suffered "ongoing trauma".
Evans was cleared of three other sexual offences against a second woman.
