Missing Brit grandad, 60, found dead in Jamaica after getting lost on walk while on holiday in tragic end to search | The Sun
A BRITISH grandad who vanished two days into his holiday in Jamaica has been found dead.
Cancer survivor Robert Dyer, 60, became disorientated while walking in woodland on the Caribbean island on Sunday and lost his way.
The dad-of-three, who recently retired as a personal trainer, made frantic calls to his brother after realising he was lost in the hilly terrain of Ballards Valley in St Elizabeth.
Robert's brother Henry, who he was staying with, desperately tried to direct him, but he was unable to find his way.
A huge search mission was launched, but Robert's body has now tragically been found after a four-day hunt.
The Jamaica Constabulary Force said his body was discovered at 9.15am local time on Thursday.

Detectives said "no foul play" is suspected in his death.
His son Lewis Dyer, from Lewisham, South East London, had told The Sun his dad's trekking stick was found by volunteers late on Wednesday.
Lewis said the last time his family heard from Robert was on Monday, when he made a heartbreaking final call to his wife of 36 years Anne.
He said: "My mum managed to get through and speak to him.

"He was lying in a ditch somewhere with no water and couldn't speak properly and had become immobile."
Lewis had said every hour was "critical" in the search for his dad, who was without the medication he needed for Type 2 diabetes.
More than 250 people had joined police and the fire brigade in the search for the missing grandad.
Robert – hailed as a "family man" by his son – had planned to stay with his brother for four weeks, having recently given up work following a cancer battle.
In a tribute posted on social media, pal Rik Brown described Robert as a "gentleman and friend".
He wrote: "My beautiful day was saddened enormously to hear of the tragic passing of my friend Robert Dyer.
"He will be greatly missed."
