Mum torn apart by three huge pitbulls loses both legs in horror mauling
A mum mauled in the street by three savage pitbulls needed a double amputation after being torn apart by the attack.
Shocking bodycam footage shows the moment a policeman ran onto the scene and shot the three dogs dead, while the woman lay on the ground. Brittany Skoland, 37, was visiting a friend in Fort Dodge, Iowa, when suddenly the animals escaped the house and attacked her.
Although her friend was not there, the dogs were there, and police were called after a neighbour reported hearing 'screaming' in the street. The video shows an officer shouting at the dogs before shooting them repeatedly as Brittany lies helpless in the empty street.

Brittany had to be airlifted to hospital and, when her condition worsened, both her legs had to be amputated to the knee.
"Brittany has lost a lot more than we originally thought, she's had many surgeries and procedures in the last few days," her aunt Teresa Hanus wrote on a gofundme appeal.
"She did not need surgery on her hands as we had originally thought, however she is going to need facial reconstruction surgery, she has had both legs amputated to her knees, she also has serious head trauma and much more."
Neighbour Rosemary Possehn said the dogs had not been a problem ahead of the midday attack on November 24.
"He would take care of them and they did pretty much what he said," she told KCCI.
"I was sitting in my living room, and I was just sitting there and all of a sudden I heard bang bang bang, and I come to the door and I seen all the cops,' she added.
"I seen the lady laying on the ground and the dogs going at her and the cops shot them. And it was quite a few rounds of ammunition to get them down."
Kerri Johnson who also lives near the scene at the intersection of South 16th Street and 8th Avenue South said she emerged from her property after hearing gunshots to see the policeman with his weapon drawn.
He said it was sent inside, but after a few moments his interest got the better of him and he went out to survey the scene.
"I stepped out into the driveway just to take a peek, I saw a black dog lying down on the ground, deceased, which is super sad," he said.
"I don't know what happened to the lady, but I know somebody got pulled off in a stretcher."
