Dancing children forcing train driver of to do an emergency stop at 125mph, teens throwing bikes onto tracks and doing press-ups: Watch as idiotic Brits gamble with their lives on level crossings
Network Rail has warned the public to stop ‘gambling with their lives’ after releasing a spree of heartstopping videos which include children dancing on crossings, parents letting toddlers roam on tracks and teens brazenly throwing bikes onto the railway.
MailOnline has compiled several videos released in the last 15 months after distressing footage last week captured the moment a couple perilously stopped to pose on a train track in Berkshire where trains pass at up to 100mph.
Among the footage released in the last year are several near-misses where pedestrians and motorcyclists are seen cheating death as they narrowly escape being mowed down by oncoming trains.
Another clip uncovered by MailOnline shows two teens recklessly throwing a pedal bike onto the tracks at Cross Gates station in Leeds. Network Rail reiterated that the ‘railway is no place for games, and it certainly isn’t a playground’.

A spokesman for Network Rail said: ‘Taking any risks around the railway could end in death or serious injury. When using a level crossing, people should read instructions carefully and always respect locked gates, barriers, lights and alarms. It’s not worth gambling with your life.’
