Britney Spears To Become $15 Million Richer Amid Sam Asghari Divorce Thanks To Tell-All Book

Britney Spears’ estranged husband Sam Asghari reportedly wants to challenge their pre-nup, but Britney is expected to come into a lot of money soon as she prepares to release her memoir.

Last year, it’ was reported that the pop icon inked a lucrative book contract with Simon & Schuster to share her personal story, in a deal that’s now said to be valued at $15 million. This revelation surfaced three months following a significant event: the termination of Britney Spears’ 13-year conservatorship by a California judge in November.

Exclusively revealed by PEOPLE recently, the highly anticipated tell-all book is slated to hit bookstores on October 24, 2023.

As part of the announcement, an initial glimpse of the book’s cover has been unveiled, showcasing a monochrome snapshot of a youthful Spears clad solely in metallic pants. The image appears to be an outtake from a photoshoot during the peak of her stardom.

In a statement to the publication, Jennifer Bergstrom, Senior Vice President and Publisher of Gallery Books, stated, “Britney’s compelling testimony in open court shook the world, changed laws, and showed her inspiring strength and bravery.”

“I have no doubt her memoir will have a similar impact — and will be the publishing event of the year,” she continued. “We couldn’t be more proud to help her share her story at last.”

This comes amid reports that Sam Asghari is planning to challenge his and Britney’s prenup after her filed for divorce earlier this month. In his filing, he requested both spousal support and requests Britney to cover his legal expenses.

Furthermore, as highlighted by TMZ, Sam’s legal representative has hinted at a potential contestation of the terms outlined in the couple’s prenuptial agreement, despite their relatively short 14-month marriage.

Court documents unveil that “[Sam] has not yet ascertained the complete scope of separate property assets and responsibilities for each party.”

“There are various items of community and quasi-community assets and debts, the full nature and extent of which are unknown to [Sam] at this time,” the filing goes on.

Before their 2022 wedding, Sam and Britney executed an airtight prenuptial agreement aimed at safeguarding her substantial $60 million wealth. This measure was taken despite speculations that the matrimonial plans were being hindered by Sam’s prenuptial stipulations. The estranged couple’s divorce remains ongoing.
